Partnerships and networks are central to EPDC’s operation. EPDC engages with key partners in order to assess the demand and need for data and analysis and to help direct the deployment of our resources.

Academy for Education Development Family Health International 360 Development LLC

Family Health International 360 Development LLC formally houses the EPDC in the Global Education Center. EPDC benefits from FHI 360’s wide network and resident experts, contributes to FHI 360 projects, and has written reports commissioned by FHI 360.

Edstats (The World Bank) Edstats (The World Bank)

EdStats is the World Bank’s education statistics resource. The EPDC and EdStats collaborate on household survey extractions (see Stata Tutorial) and have harmonized their methodologies and exchanged data for their databases. The EPDC provides EdStats with projection data for primary and secondary pupils as well as education attainment.

Global Partnership for Education Global Partnership for Education

The Global Partnership for Education (GPE, formerly known as EFA Fast Track Initiative) provides developing country partners the incentives, resources, and technical support to build and implement sound education plans. Members of the Partnership mobilize and coordinate resources to support the achievement of these plans' targets to help more children enrol in school and for a better education. EPDC has provided country profiles for GPE's annual report since 2008 and is currently assisting the Secretariat with milestone development for GPE's Results Framework.

EFA Global Monitoring Report EFA Global Monitoring Report

Annually, UNESCO produces the EFA Global Monitoring Report, which reviews progress towards Education For All goals. Since 2007, the EPDC has contributed annually to the EFA Global Monitoring Report with special studies. For the 2008, 2009 and 2010 reports, the EPDC provided the education projections. Other analysis has leveraged EPDC household survey expertise. Link to the GMR Background Papers.

Google Google

In 2009, the EPDC was selected for a Google Challenge Grant to produce an interface to visualize subnational education data and the EPDC’s website tools in Google Earth. Go to Dynamic Maps to see more.

International Household Survey Network International Household Survey Network

Funded by the OECD, the International Household Survey Network's mission is to improve global household survey practices. The EPDC and IHSN have partnered to review household survey education modules and develop better education questionnaires.

Inter-Agency Network for Education Simulation Modeling Inter-Agency Network for Education Simulation Modeling

Initiated by the task Team on Education Simulation Models, the Inter-Agency Network for Education Simulation Modeling aims to facilitate the exchange of knowlegde in the field of education simulation models.

International Institute for Education Planning International Institute for Education Planning

The EPDC partnered with IIEP to work on training and the projections.

UNESCO Institute of Statistics UNESCO Institute of Statistics

The UNESCO Institute for Statistics (UIS) contributes to EPDC as a member of the Advisory Council. EPDC and UIS regularly consult on education indicator definitions and data extraction methods.

U.S. Agency for International Development U.S. Agency for International Development

USAID was instrumental in the founding of the center and has been EPDC’s primary funding source. The EPDC provides regular services and analysis for USAID.
