In the next decades, how will the educational attainment in the labor force change, in particular, among young workers? How can education policy affect those changes? These are questions the Workforce model is designed to answer. The result of a combined effort of the EPDC and UNESCO, the Workforce model is a visual and interactive tool with which policy makers and planners can project future changes in the education make-up of the labor force. By including both sides of education – namely its provision and its output – the model aims to facilitate and improve discussions between the providers of education and those who use its outcomes. The Workforce model contains data for multiple countries and can be used for comparative studies as well.
