Household Survey Guidelines on Education

This report recommends the structure and wording of a coordinated suite of education modules for household survey questionnaires. The report was commissioned by the International Household Survey Network (www.ihsn.org) as background for the IHSN question bank. The main text evaluates the education questions and modules used in a cross-section of household surveys, distills their best practices, and organize these practices into a coherent and coordinated suite of education questionnaire modules. Appendices to the report include model questionnaires, indicator metadata, and instructions for calculating education indicators based on survey responses.
