Opportunity to Learn

EQUIP2 believes that improvement in school effectiveness requires schools and educators to concentrate on providing basic opportunities to learn by having the school open every day and teachers and students present and ready to learn. The project researched the delivery of instruction to students in Grades 1–3 in Ethiopia, Guatemala, Honduras, Mozambique, and Nepal, examining the extent to which materials and trained teachers were present, time was appropriately used, and school support programs exist in classrooms and contribute to improved learning outcomes for students.
